Every few weeks one AI video format takes over the short-video feeds. This October, one of the formats spreading on TikTok and Reels is the "car jump" clip: a person sits perfectly still in a folding chair, looking at the camera, while an SUV launches off a sand dune and sails through the air behind them.
This is our weekly viral AI video breakdown. We describe the trend in general terms (we do not copy or embed anyone's clip), explain why it works, and give you copy-ready AI video prompt ideas to make your own version in Avocadio with Text to Video or Image to Video.

What the trend looks like
The structure is simple and always the same:
- Foreground: one person, seated, calm, almost bored. Often in a folding camp chair, facing the lens.
- Background: something huge and loud happening. In the original wave, a 4x4 jumping a dune and flying overhead.
- Camera: locked off or a very slow push-in. No shaky action-movie moves.
- Length: a few seconds. The payoff lands fast and the clip loops.
The joke lives in the contrast. Nothing about the person reacts to the chaos.
Why it works
- Contrast is a hook. Stillness next to extreme motion makes the eye check twice. That double-take happens in the first second, which is exactly what short-video feeds reward. We cover first-second hooks in more depth in YouTube Shorts hooks with AI video.
- It is easy to read without sound. Many people scroll muted. You do not need dialogue or captions to get the joke.
- It is a template, not a story. Swap the person, the location, or the flying object and you have a new post. Templates spread because everyone can make their own version.
- It plays to what AI video does well. One dramatic motion, one stable subject, one strong light direction. That is a much easier ask for a generator than a long scene with dialogue.
The recipe in one line
Calm subject in the foreground + one giant motion in the background + locked camera + strong golden or hard daylight.
Keep that structure and you can change everything else.
